Nature reserves in the Klein Karoo includes the Doringriver wilderness area near oudtshoorn, the Gamkeskloof Nature Reserves near Calitzdorp, Rust-en-Vrede waterfalls, the Anysberg Nature Reserve near Ladismith and the Swatberg area linking Klein Karoo to the Groot Karoo. The annual Klein Karoo National Arts Festival draws thousands of people each year.
