Another attraction of the city is the 16^th and 17^th century architecture of the place, which gives yet another dimension to it. The city centre is a live museum with tens of these colonial era buildings and is also the place where you will find most of festivals being celebrated. For most people though, the real attraction of Salvador is its beaches. Located just outside the city, they are some of the best that Brazil can offer. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation then you can always find some deserted place on these beaches but if you are looking to party on their soft sand then you will find quite a lot of folks of your kind having best time of their lives along the shoreline.
