Travel Africa : South Africa after successful hosting of world cup 2010

South-Africa-after-World-Cup-2010

THIS TIME FOR AFRICA – The success of South Africa as host of the biggest world event; spirit of the nation, the amazing developments, rebuilding, the faultless security and unquestionable management have all contributed to make it a “Perfect” host for this time and ever after.

The country is full on and rocking even a week after FIFA 2010 World cup on July 11, 2010. It is the magical land where celebrations don’t seem to end, they say, Africans celebrate everything, from child birth, deaths, marriages to famines and draught memories – it is all about celebrating life! It is what makes South Africa a thrilling, exhilarating, vibrant and heavenly country that welcomes every one with open hearts and wide smiles.

World Cup this year brought an entire new definition to South Africa travel, the stadiums for instance, are an everlasting inspirations of spectacular architectural design and will be on top in “places to see” lists. The number of travelers to South Africa this year was way beyond expected. People were just crazy to be there at any cost or through any means. Some outrageous flight schedules and connections came in view this year as there were occurrences where people took flights to Zimbabwe, or Victoria Falls and even Nairobi in hope of catching a connection to Johannesburg when Cheap Flights to South Africa were down. But then again, crazy is the new name of football fan! It is one game where you want to leave behind the decorum or sophistications they taught you in school and yell at the top of your voice …Yehhhh Get them! Football is ageless, it makes everyone from those in their 80’s to those just learning to talk behave just the same way …isn’t it miraculous!

As soon as the final whistle marked the victory of Spaniards in extra time, fireworks lighted up the skies. In South Africa, it was crowd’s dancing’s, singings, Vuvuzelas shrilling through the air…. wildness and sheer joy as far as you can see. The day in Spain was no less than magical eve where 300,000 people in the capital formed a mosaic of red and yellow to celebrate the nation’s first ever World Cup title. Who can mind traffic Jam in town squares on a day like that ? It is the biggest celebration in the living memory of the country. Strangers were hugging each other, most could say no words but just smiles everywhere, tears of joy sparkling in the eyes like diamonds of victory. But, THIS TIME FOR SPAIN!
