Flood Leaves Australian Economy Crippling

According to most recent news on Australia’s biggest flooding in decades, the water covered areas are likely to take ‘weeks’ to recover. The flooding that has killed many and left a majority homeless is also posing a great danger as crocodiles, pythons, snakes and other dangerous animals, native to the area are being driven to highly populated regions in the flood waters.

At present the country is using military aid and choppers are circling the flood affected areas to drop food items and secure those trapped in deep water.

Recently, considering the worsening stage of flooding in Australia, US has also extended help for the flood affected in Queensland Australia.

Flood has significantly affected the rate of crops, wheat, goods and edibles. Also, insurance companies, construction companies, banks, mining companies as well as small and medium industries throughout the region.

Other than that, the recent flooding has damaged Australia’s chances to recover tourism revenue for which, the country has been camping as well as advertising immensely. Recently, many airlines increased frequency as well as launched flights to Sydney and Brisbane Australia in 2010.
