District Satwa Dubai – The house of flavors

Dubai, UAE is one of the very few destinations in the world that have a big chunk of their revenue generated from tourism alone. It is a miracle of technology, a dazzling cosmopolitan city in the heart of dessert. Cloud kissing Sky Scrapers, glittering buildings and one of its kind shopping are only the introduction of Dubai Tourism.

If there can be any one thing missing, it was to be a national carrier to meet the up and rising requirements of travel and tourism in such a dynamic city. But Dubai has it all in the form of its national flag ship airline Emirates. Emirates Airline is a five star rated carrier that is also reckoned as one of the world’s fastest growing airlines. Not only Dubai but Emirates has spread its wings to worldwide destinations from continent to continent. It holds a strong presence in Middle East, Asia, Europe and Australasia. Often, flights to Dubai with Emirates are not only direct, but cheap and sometimes with perks like free night stopover in fine Dubai hotels.

The popularity of Dubai is increasing in leaps and bounds as a modern day travel destination however there is a little more to it than just that. Such as the district of Satwa.

Satwa is one of Dubai’s mini-India. If you call it mini-Manila, it won’t be wrong either. But if you are in Dubai and want to experience something more than Falafel, Shawarma or Kebabs…..head to the Satwa District.

Satwa district is an amalgamation of different vibrant and rich cultures and flavors that will tickle your taste buds. A large majority of Filipinos and Indians are inhabitants of Satwa and the communities live in perfect harmony with each other. The food street here is lined up with a variety of popular Indian and Filipino restaurants. Also, you can collect some souvenirs from the shops here that display gift items and goods of daily use. The district also has large supermarkets. The perfect items to shop from here are Gold and Textile. The best think to know yet, is unlike “Gold Souk” Satwa is not so crowded.

Whether its textile, shopping or food Satwa is an amazing place that presents to you a huge variety.  Satwa is a House of Flavors for food lovers.
