Beijing Spoils – Five things to pamper yourself abroad

 Five-things-to-pamper-yourself-abroad--beijing

Traveling, living, shopping, flying or even pampering yourself in Beijing is cheap, affordable and very appealing. Not only for women but the Spa, the steam and massage in Beijing is specially designed and altered for men. Whether you are on a business trip, a backpacker, a student or a tourist you can treat yourself like a celebrity here – cause Beijing makes it affordable. You can shop from a 2 Yuan shop or even cheaper as there are 1 Yuan shops too where make up, lip sticks, key chains, dairies, photo albums, chopsticks, hair clips, nail colors nearly everything sells in 1 Yuan. Here, you can take a ‘foot massage’ in 20 Yuan and a Chinese style spiky and handsome hair cut in as low as 12 Yuan. The hair dyes are done according to international standards and fairly cheaper. No wonder you will see half their population with cool haircuts, trendy streaks, vibrant dyes and totally loaded with fashion and gadgets. Even accommodation is amazingly cheap, available in all 3, 4 or 5 stars even no stars too. As far as flights are concerned, Cheap Flights to Beijing with British Airways form London or China Eastern, China Southern airlines offer SALE fares nearly throughout the year. So, why not plan a vacation and shine like a diva. Here are five cheap and affordable styling and pampering luxuries available in China that can revive your youth in just one trip:

Tip 1: the first thing you need to do is get rid of that 60’s hair style. Do something fresh and new because believe it or not Chinese are the trend setters in hair styles. They can do so much with your hair whether they are straight or wavy; they can even tame curly hair (at least they did mine). Getting a hair cut is Must while in Beijing. But you should be prepared for language problems, either take a guide with you, take a dictionary or do what I did. See their photo or hair style albums and point at the one you want them to do for you. It can cost between 10 to 40 Yuan. The hair cut involves giving your hair a warm wash, towel dry, scalp massage, shampooing, hair cut and shampooing or conditioning (n case of dry hair). All you got to do is just lay down and enjoy.

Tip 2: Are you blonde since born or have never touched you dark hair? It is time for a change. Try out the streaks, low lights, high lights or dyes in China and you won’t regret it for life. It is like an art to them and believe me; they do it better than anywhere else in the world.

Tip 3: go to a Spa and let them clean and open your pours. Pedicure, Manicure or let them massage you gently, touch and scrub where your hands can’t reach so the beauty skin deep will rise to the surface and glow. Try getting massaged with the mint, or the mud, even chocolate is available to try (but expensive).

Tip 4: Shop till you drop. They have all price ranges available in dresses, jeans, shorts, skirts and lingerie. The sports shoes or Cinderella shoes you have it all here. Try those fine silk dresses or colors you never dared wearing before. China celebrates every color, the bright reds, turquoise or sea greens; you will see a rainbow to choose from. Come out of the black and white, get bright colors. It will light your inside and glamorize your persona.

Tip 5: Indulge in the ecstasy of unknown flavors. Try the sugar dipped fruits on a stick or the juicy sweet and sour shrimps. Gulp in the meat loaf with Mexican peanut sauce, the hot pot or chew the delicious sauté vegetables, square cut carefully in equal sizes and garnished with mouth watering sauces. Leave the burgers behind and get into the chop stick world.

Beijing can bring out the best in you. Even if it is a cosmetic surgery or laser to get rid of your granny specs forever, you will find it cheap in China. Cheap flights to China, cheap accommodations, affordable shopping and luxurious life style equates to a happy you!
