A trip to the heart of the Wellington, “Hutt Valley”

If you are going to New Zealand and not going to Wellington…your trip is not complete. Wellington is one of the main cities of New Zealand and also a wonderful holiday destination. As you may already know, that New Zealand is the second country after South Africa that has a record of satisfying millions of tourist world wide. It is modern, it offers freedom, it has beaches, it has all top brand shops, it has a racking night life, a vast history, a rich culture and most of all a welcoming attitude. All these qualities out together with a bundle of magnificent sites, splendid attractions and cozy spots make the city of Wellington.

Once you are there, the city itself will guide you to soar through its tremendous attractions and make the most of your trip. Out of the many, one top or you can say most popular attraction of Wellington is the Hutt Valley, more profoundly called the “Heart of Wellington”.

The Hutt Valley is about 5 minutes drive north of Wellington City. This site of great beauty and mesmerizing attraction extends along the northern and eastern shores of Wellington harbor, making it s peace of paradise, a pearl in the laps of the sea. The shore, the entire sea side in Wellington is known for its clarity, its quietness, its serene pleasure and exotic beauty. It charms the beholder and casts a magical effect on its visitors, the experience in unmatchable to any other. It is not commercialized or very populated with buildings over shadowing the beach, stealing the sun, it is just the way it should be. The Hutt Valley, the heart of Wellington is located inland along the Hutt River for about 30km.

What makes Hutt valley even more special is that it has an ancient history that includes Maori mythology of taniwha and stories that show the area as a place of national and international importance. Most stories are about how this region became the place of the first organized settlement by the New Zealand Company out of England and grew as an important service centre for the nation. This story, though sounds ordinary, but is of great significant, as it is the basis, the fundamental beginning of the country. The story of the settlement of Hutt Valley is also the story of the settlement of Wellington, capital of New Zealand.

Hutt Valley is also famous for the Riddiford Gardens. It is an amazing landscape, a surreal location come alive. The range of harbor, river, plains and mountain landscapes gives Hutt City unique appeal. Yet, it is a advanced and well kept region with all modern day facilities such as shopping, cafés, restaurants, arts and unique cultural experiences that laid the basis of Wellington.
