Qantas flight makes priority landing at Sydney Airport

A QANTAS jet had to make a priority landing at Sydney airport after a problem with the aircraft’s hydraulics. A Qantas spokeswoman said QF 537, which was en route from Brisbane to Sydney, was safely on the ground by about 5pm (AEST) yesterday.

”The pilot requested a priority landing in Sydney due to a high cross wind coupled with a small hydraulic system issue,” the spokeswoman said. She said it was not an emergency landing. A pilot can request a priority landing if they are concerned they have a problem, but emergency services are not deployed.
