More flights to Boston and Miami from London with Delta Airways

In August this year, Delta Air Lines Inc. announced a possible increase in their flights to Miami and Boston, from London Heathrow Airport. The airline’s official stated that Delta is looking forward to add flights from London’s Heathrow Airport to Boston and Miami, routes flown by AMR Corp.’s American Airlines. In result of this new route, it was planned that Boston would get twice-daily service to Heathrow. Whereas, Miami would get daily flights to Heathrow, the biggest and busiest airport in London. The Atlanta-based carrier declared that it applied for clearance from the European Commission and the U.S. Transportation Department, earlier this year too.

American Airline is the second-largest airline in the U.S. by passenger traffic that serves Heathrow from its hub in Miami and from Boston. The flight slots in discussion became available at Heathrow Airport after regulators approved a joint venture between American and British Airways.
