Good news for air travelers, as United and Continental airlines have announced to increase flights between the U.S. and Mexico.
Continental Airways will be offering nonstop and direct flights to Los Angeles and Leon-Guanajuato, Mexico from November 1st, 2010. However the approval of Continental Airways flights to Mexico is yet to be approved from Mexican government. Another new route proposed by Continental Airways is flights between the Mexican resort city of Cancun and three U.S. cities: Austin and San Antonio, Texas, and Raleigh-Durham, N.C from February 19, 2011 subject to approval by U.S. Transportation Department.
However, United Airways also stated that it will increase service to Mexico City from Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles and San Francisco. The merger, occurred only this month between the two airlines according to which, Continental as well as United Airlines are now owned by United Continental Holdings Inc.,
