European Travelers facing another strike threat as Air Berlin pilots vote to strike

European Travelers facing fresh disruptions after a German pilots’ union called for a strike at Air Berlin, Germany’s second-biggest airline after Lufthansa. The three-hour stoppage will be some time in the coming days, the Vereinigung Cockpit union said Tuesday. V.C. said it wants better working conditions for pilots at Air Berlin’s charter airline unit, LTU. Hours and staffing on long- haul flights are at the core of the dispute.

Cabin crew at British Airways also plan a work stoppage, but have not yet said when the strike would take place.
