Tiger Airways Launches Seat Promotion to Celebrate New Routes

Tiger Airways will offer its biggest ever network of seats from Singapore for the forthcoming summer 2009 schedule for the period from 29 March to 24 October 2009.

The schedule includes the recently launched daily flights to Kota Kinabalu, a new daily service between Singapore and Jakarta, more services on the ever popular Singapore – Kuala Lumpur route, as well as 4 extra flights a week to Guangzhou bringing the total number of weekly services to 11.

To mark this major milestone in the growth of the airline’s home base in Asia, Tiger Airways is launching an seat sale across Asia on Thursday, 5 March 2009. For example Kuching and Kuala Lumpur will be on sale with one way prices from as low as just $25 (including taxes and charges).

The addition of Tiger Airways’ new destinations and extra frequencies is happening at a time that many other airlines across the region are reducing capacity and grounding aircraft. Rosalynn Tay, managing director Tiger Airways Singapore, said,

“Across our two airlines in Asia and Australia, Tiger Airways will commence a total of 7 brand new routes this month with the launch of services from Singapore to Kota Kinabalu and Jakarta, together with the start of the airline’s second Australian base in Adelaide. Not only is this fantastic news for travellers, as they will benefit from our famous low fares, it also assists the tourism industry and provides a welcome boost to local economies in these difficult economic conditions!”
