Snow Disruptions Update: Cathay Pacific Release Instructions For Cancelled/Rescheduled Flights

In a recent release form Cathay Pacific Airline, it is stated that as a result of the Snow Disruption situation, with immediate effect, rebooking and rerouting charges will be waived for all ticket issued worldwide (irrespective of fare type) on/before 30Nov10 for travel from London Heathrow Airport till 02Dec10.Cathay Pacific Flights Rescheduled/Cancelled Information

The airline has laid out a set of instructions for flights disrupts, cancelled or rescheduled due to bad weather and heavy snow in the UK. The airline has waived rebooking / rerouting tickets at the moment.

The following guidelines are for Cathay Pacific and Dragon Air Passengers:

Rebooking/Rerouting

  • Such requests are made on/before 02Dec10 and before departure for travel from London Heathrow till 02Dec10.   No show passenger is not eligible for the waiver.
  • Revised (new) travel date must be on/before 07Dec10 and subject to flight availability. In which case, the ticket expiry date will be adjusted accordingly.
  • For services arriving into London Heathrow to connect with Cathay Pacific Heathrow-Hong Kong services that have been cancelled and/ or confirmed to be cancelled, will be handled as INVOLUNTARY REROUTING case.
  • Next available flight is to be booked in same class and reissue ticket with invol/reroute in the endorsements.
  • Re-issuance charges will only be waived due to the expiry of the original ticket.

Endorsement

  • Condition of the respective fare rules will apply.
  • For flight that have been cancelled and/ or confirmed to be cancelled, will be handled as  INVOLUNTARY REROUTING case.

  • The airline has also stated that they will monitor the situation closely and advise if amendments are necessary.
