South African Airways (SAA) has launched a direct flight from Johannesburg to Gaborone, Botswana, it announced on Friday.
This was in line with the airline’s focus on Africa, it said, noting that Gaborone was its twentieth direct destination into Africa.
A total of 13 flights would be made between these two destinations each week with two flights every weekday and one flight on Saturdays. An Airbus A319 with a business and economy class configuration is being used to operate the route.
The launch of the new route would further strengthen SAA’s presence in southern Africa, promote business travel in both countries and enhance the seamless connection of passengers to international markets such as the UK, stated the airline.
