SAA flew US men’s national soccer team to South Africa for world cup

The excitement is reaching a frenzied level as there is just one week to go when South Africa welcomes the world. South African Airways (SAA), Africa’s most awarded airline, and its employees are excited and looking forward to welcoming fans on board and flying them to South Africa where for the first time the world’s biggest sporting event will be held on the African continent.  Fans that fly SAA will be treated to soccer-themed amenity kits and video programming that will prepare them for the sport revelry they will experience.

While SAA’s dedicated corporate team has been preparing the airline and its employees for the tournament for months, the preparations were put into practice when the U.S. Men’s National Soccer Team boarded their South African Airways flight just a few days ago to prepare for the tournament in South Africa.

The team chose South African Airways as their Official Airline for flights to South Africa after the airline flew them to South Africa in 2009, competing in a tournament in which they reached the finals.  SAA and its employees are exceptionally proud that the US. Men’s National Soccer Team chose to fly South African Airways once more for the most important tournament of all.

South African Airways features daily nonstop flights to Johannesburg from USA with morning departures from New York JFK and afternoon direct service from Washington Dulles (with a stop in Dakar, Senegal) that offer travel convenience and award-winning service.
