Qantas and British Airways Joint Service Agreement (JSA)

The four star ranking carrier, British Airways and Qantas mutually joined a Joint service agreement to provide extreme benefits to customers by offering global fare products, lounge access and frequent flyer programs. Earlier on, in 1995 both carriers joined the agreement and back in 2010 the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) approved the renewal of agreement for next 5 years.

With the help of this agreement the carriers can offer code sharing flights and will be able to coordinate flight schedules and pricing on services operating between the United Kingdom and Australia via Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore. The both carriers can share sales, travel outlets and share use of ground handling & aircraft maintenance services.

Daily flight schedules to Sydney with Qantas via Singapore and Bangkok, Flights to Sydney with British Airways via Bangkok and Singapore, flights to Melbourne with Qantas Airways via Hong Kong and Singapore and lastly Flights to Asia with British Airways. Qantas operates 4 class A380s daily to Sydney via Singapore and 6 days a week to Melbourne via Singapore, 4 class 744s daily to Sydney via Bangkok and to Melbourne via Hong Kong and  day a week to Melbourne via Singapore.
