Mouth-Watering Alitalia Wins The "Best Airline Cuisine" Award!

Italy’s largest airline Alitalia has recently been given an award for “Best Airline Cuisine”. Here it’s important to mention that the competition has been really tough with high standards, Global Traveler’s seventh annual GT Tested Reader Survey Awards program surveyed more than 25,000 business and luxury travelers to determine the best in business and luxury travel for 2010. However Alitalia Airline has taken Italian cuisine to a whole new level that compelled readers of Global Traveler magazine to hand over “Best Airline Cuisine” to this largest Italian airline.

Alitalia also introduced new menus designed to showcase the regional culinary specialties of Italy in its Magnifica Class cabin, earlier this year as part of a larger initiative to offer customers an authentic Italian experience. The menu got high appreciation by Alitalia travels from worldwide destinations.

At this occasion, Andrea Stolfa, Executive Vice President Marketing, Network and Revenue Management at Alitalia expressed his feeling saying: "We’re honored to win this award," he added: "Since implementing our new service in Magnifica Class, we have received high customer satisfaction for the quality of the menus and cuisine. With the new Italian menus we offer our customers a real high quality ‘Made in Italy’ experience."

Alitalia is one of the prominent European airlines, offering code-share flights with KLM Airline and Air France.

The GT Tested Reader Survey Awards will be presented on Jan. 18, 2011, in New York City. Alitalia flies to 82 destinations worldwide and is world’s 19th biggest airline.
