Government approval has been granted to Kingfisher Airlines to start new international flights, which will double its overseas operations. According to recieved permission Kingfisher can now start flights to Thailand’s city Bangkok, London in UK, Dubai in UAE from New Delhi and Flights to Bangkok, Colombo and Dubai from Mumbai. The carrier may add new aircraft into its fleet sooner than it had initially planned to expand its international operations, Chairman and Chief Executive Vijay Mallya said in a statement. It currently has a fleet of 68 Airbus planes.
Its Current flight Operations include flights to London, Hong Kong, Singapore from Mumbai, from Chennaai to Colombo, Kolkata to Dhaka and Bangkok, and from Bangalore to Dubai. New Flights will be launcing soon, Mr. Mallya said. Mr. Mallya also said the carrier is pursuing several options for raising funds and that its plans are on track. The airline, which currently has total debt of INR65 billion, had said last year it would look at raising $80 million to $100 million through a rights issue.
