Japan Airlines improves meal choices

Japan Airlines has announced improvements to its inflight meal service on flights to destinations in Europe. The carrier plans to extend the inflight catering setup on its flights to the USA to its services from Tokyo to London, Paris, Frankfurt and Amsterdam.

People travelling on Japan Airlines’ business class service from March 1st will be offered a wider range of dishes for their inflight meal and more personalised service. Specific changes will include eight small dishes for the first course rather than the current three and a choice of fish or meat to go with freshly-cooked rice for the main meal.

Japan Airlines operates flights to 214 airports in 33 countries, including 60 airports in Japan, and is the second biggest airline in Asia in passenger terms. On January 30th this year, the airline carried out a test flight using a sustainable biofuel.
