JAL-China Southern Agreement To Complement JAL’s Direct Flights To China

Flights to Tokyo and Dalian (China) route are now to be operated by China Southern Airline (CZ) as the latter has made a code share agreement with Japanese airline, JAL (Japan Airline).

This operation will be in affect from today January 05, 2011. According to this contract JAL and China Southern are to code share on 23 flights a week on 5 routes. Other than Tokyo, the important regional and connecting flights operated by China Southern will be flights to Osaka, connected with flights to Guangzhou and Shenyang.

The flights between Tokyo (Narita), Osaka (Kansai), Guangzhou and Shenyang have been previously operated by Japan airlines. This collaboration on selective routes between China and Japan are also going to complement JAL’s extensive network of direct flights to China.

According to the airlines, this expanded code share partnership will bring greater support to travelers flying between Japan and China for business or for leisure.

Japan Airlines International Co., Ltd. (JAL) is headquartered in Shinagawa, Tokyo, Japan and also operated direct flights to Beijing, the capital of China.

Whereas, China Southern Airlines Company Limited is the largest airline in China in terms of fleet and number of passengers carried per year and its hub is located Canton, the Chinese city close to Hong Kong .
