Flight for Food Lovers – Virgin America Airline

The California (San Francisco) based low cost airline, Virgin America has recently upgraded its flavorsome menu for First Class, Main Cabin Select and Main Cabin service.

Virgin America Airline has quite a reputation for its amazing cheap flight fares to American cities and also its award-winning cuisine. The new and updated menu is aimed at providing more seasonal and locally sourced traditional dishes.

The airline refreshes its menu in Main Cabin, First and Main Cabin Select, on quarterly basis and the additions made this time include mouth watering International cuisines such as a curry chicken salad sandwich, a Greek chicken hand roll, a fresh fruit and cheese plate, truffle wild mushroom,  potato pave, tequila and lime glazed beef filet.

The innovative touch screen seatback entertainment platform Virgin America travelers in the new Main Cabin and Main Cabin Select, to touch and choose a food item available "on-demand". Another special feature of the Virgin America’s Red® In-Flight Entertainment system is that it allows travelers to order a variety of cocktails, snacks and meals right from their seatback touch-screen any time during a flight.

Virgin America is the only airline in the U.S. with a touch-screen seatback menu that enables "anytime" ordering during a flight. The airline’s stated aim is to provide low-fare, high-quality service for "long-haul point-to-point service between major metropolitan cities on the Eastern and West Coast seaboards." Its based in San Francisco International Airport with special focus on flights to Los Angeles. Virgin America also operates flight to New York City.

The airline has a fleet size of 34 aircrafts and offers flights to 14 destinations.
