Ethiopian Airlines return to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Ethiopian Airlines will launch three weekly flights to Riyadh effective June 02, 2009, operating with a mix of B737-800 and B737-700 aircraft. The three weekly flights will be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays with return flights on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, is a major business centre and one of the world’s fastest growing cities.

With these new flights, passengers from cities throughout Africa – including Lagos, Johannesburg, Nairobi, and Dar es Salaam – will enjoy the fastest connections to Riyadh offered by any carrier.

In line with its growth strategy, Ethiopian is committed to expand its fast, seamless and convenient network connectivity of African cities with the major capitals of the world. Accordingly, the flight services we are introducing to Riyadh will provide more choices and convenient connections for our passengers between Saudi Arabia and 34 stations in Africa.

To celebrate these new flights, Ethiopian announces special bonus mileage offers in its ShebaMiles program for a limited time. For each roundtrip flown on Ethiopian’s new flights to or from Malabo, earn 2000 bonus miles in economy class and 4000 miles in Cloud Nine business class. Use earned ShebaMiles to earn free trips or upgrades on Ethiopian Airlines or our partner Lufthansa. This offer is valid through 30 November 2009, and other restrictions apply.
