Emirates launches Flights Between Bangkok and Christchurch, New Zealand

Emirates has launched daily services from Bangkok to the enchanting city of Christchurch in New Zealand.

New Zealand is very popular with both Thai leisure travellers and students and the new daily flight offers Thais the chance to discover the country’s foremost festival city.

Operating daily, the service will connecting Bangkok and Christchurch with a brief stopover in Sydney. Emirates will fly its Boeing 777-300ER on the route, offering 364 seats in a three class configuration.

Khalid Bardan, Manager for Thailand and Indochina, said,

“As the only direct daily flight from Bangkok to Christchurch, this service represents Emirates’ commitment to the Thailand market. New Zealand has always been popular with Thai leisure travellers but it is also a key market for Thais studying abroad. For both groups Christchurch offers a wealth of entertainment and cultural activities throughout the year.”

Located on the east coast of South Island, Christchurch is a city of contrasts. The city is cosmopolitan and set in a natural environment world-renowned for its beauty. Among the highlights the city has to offer are the weekend Arts Centre market, Christchurch Cathedral, Botanic Gardens and International Antarctic Centre.

The new Emirates flight takes 13 hours 45 minutes from Bangkok to Christchurch and the Boeing 777-300ER is fitted with 12 luxurious seats in First class, 42 lie-flat beds in Business class, and generous space for 310 passengers in Economy class.
