Delta Launches New Flights to Africa

Delta Air Lines will launch new flights to Cape Town and Johannesburg later this year. Delta flights to Africa will leave from Atlanta and fly to Dakar, Senegal, Cape Town and Johannesburg in starting June 1. Cape Town flights will operate only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, while Johannesburg flights will take place daily.

Flights from Atlanta to Nairobi, Kenya, will begin on June 2. These will operate via Dakar on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Meanwhile, services between New York and Monrovia, Liberia, will start on June 8. These will also be via Dakar and will take place every day. Delta is also beginning direct flights from New York to Lagos, Nigeria, on June 9, operating daily except Fridays and Sundays. The carrier is also going to start flights between New York and Abuja, Nigeria, which will fly daily via Dakar.
