Auckland International Airport Cheap Flights New Zealand

With the arrival of Air Asia X in the local market, Christchurch travelers could fly to Europe for $1000 return airfares. In the ceremony today, Air Asia X announced one way flights to Kuala Lumpur as low as 99 dollars and return flights in 200 dollars. Ten flights were given away to members of the public at this occasion. The ceremony was attended by senior Airline officers and Tourism leaders of the country.

These amazingly low flight fares are expected to hit the market in March or Aril next year. Whereas Flight tickets between Christchurch and the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur go on sale this Friday, and are expected to sell for less than $200 one-way.

These low fares will also affect the competitor airline prices on the same route and are likely to undercut major airlines by as much as 50 per cent. According to statements and fare quotes on the airline’s website, return flights to Europe from Kuala Lumpur cost about 600 dollars. This means that for travelers coming to UK, a return flight between Christchurch and London could cost just over 1000 Dollars.

Other flights that can be connected in onward journey from Kuala Lumpur include flights to Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Iran, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand and Saudi Arabia.

Flight Centre national product manager James Broker said Air Asia X had done well with its Gold Coast operation, quoting: "We welcome anything that brings competition, and this will certainly do that." He further added that flights from Christchurch could be so cheap that travelers from Auckland, Wellington and other centers would be enticed to the Garden City just to take advantage of these fares.
