China-Pakistan Trade: Air Cargo Service Launched

Associated Press Pakistan reported that the first ever air cargo service between Pakistan and China has been launched earlier this month. Pakistan China trade holds a vital importance not only in the continent but also in the worldwide economical scenario. The two countries benefit from duty-free trade at large and air cargo service is aimed at enhancing the relationship.

China has emerged as a new largest economy competing neck to neck with the leading world powers. In the 20th century, Chinese cities especially Guangzhou and Shenzhen, the port city have appeared on the world map as Asian business centers. Also, following the 2008 Olympics there are more flights to Beijing from international destinations and new routes are launched every year.

Air Cargo service between Pakistan and China will enable easy access for further transfer of goods and merchandise to other countries through Karachi and Gwader Port. Sardar Aminullah Khan Economic Minister at Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing highlighted the important aspects of the Pak-China relations. He said:

There is big potential for business for the air cargo service especially during winter season when the connectivity through land between the two countries remained suspended

He also emphasized that through cargo service, products of the two countries not only available easily whole the year in the markets of both sides but also in the Middle Eastern countries and Central Asian States through the sea access to Dubai OR air transfer that takes only two hours from Karachi.

At this occasion, Sardar Aminullah Khan appreciated the assistance provided by the Chinese government to Pakistan at the hours of the need and also applauded the efforts of the sponsors of Rayan Air Lines for successful operation of the first cargo flight from Pakistan.
