China Airlines Adds New Flights to Summer Schedule

China Airlines’ new summer schedule will include increased frequencies to New York and Frankfurt, as well as new flights to Sydney and non-stop flights to Vienna. The summer schedule will take effect on March 29.

Beginning on March 29, an extra non-stop flight to Frankfurt, CI-62, will depart six times per week, using a Boeing 747-400 aircraft. At the same time, CAL’s Taipei-New York frequencies will increase from three to four flights per week, and Taipei-Frankfurt frequencies will increase from five to six flights per week.

In order to meet growing demand in the Australia market, China Airlines will add a new flight to Sydney, CI-055, using an Airbus 330-300 aircraft. The new flight increases frequencies to Sydney from four to seven flights per week. Together with its three weekly flights to Brisbane, CAL will offer highly convenient service to Australia, with 10 flights per week.

CAL President Sun Huang-Hsiang, said, “China Airlines is working continuously to expand its network and strengthen its passenger connections, also to solidify Taiwan’s role as a hub between Mainland China and the world.”

China Airlines currently flies to 73 passenger and cargo destinations in 26 nations. It operates a fleet of 67 modern aircraft, including 47 passenger jets and 20 freighters. The average age of its fleet is just 6.3 years.
