British Airways Launches New Route from Gatwick to San Juan – Summer 2011

Sunday October 10, British Airways celebrates the launch of new air route between London Gatwick and San Juan (SJU). This latest new route will be added to British Airways Schedules for summer 2011.

The new air route is likely to benefit the rising Holiday business in Puerto Rico. The fine sandy beaches of the city, wide spread as far as one can see, are a major magnet for tourists from round the world. The importance of San Juan, as a historic city is also one big attraction in itself. Eating out, visiting sites, water sports, beach lazing or indulging in trendy shopping, options are many in San Juan. It is a premium leisure destination and well established with luxury accommodations available in all stars.

San Juan is one of the busiest port in the Caribbean and offers competitive market currently ruled by American Airlines. Flights to San Juan are one major leap of British Airways connecting London-Caribbean market like never before. The schedule expected for British Airways is departing 10:40 arriving 16:10 from London Gatwick to San Juan and Return flights at 17:40 arriving back at Gatwick on 08:50 am (local times). At the moment it’s not a daily schedule. Hence, Flights will be operating on Mondays and Fridays only. British Airways will have flight number BA2157 and BA 2156. The air craft Boeing 777,  with cabins Club World, World Travelled Plus and World Traveler will be taking passengers onboard. Most Importantly, with the break of News, British Airways has also offered a “Sale” to go on from October 10, travelling season 28 March, 2011. These flights are scheduled to operate via Antigua (short stop over).
