Canadian airline, WestJet Airlines has recently signed a contract with flagship carrier of UK, British Airways. Once the contract is in effect, travelers to/from UK to Canada will be able to experience improved connectivity and enhanced facilities at the transfers.
The interline agreement between British Airways and WestJet will allow the airlines to work together on baggage handling and other tasks and making it easier for travelers to transfer from one carrier to the other. However further details are yet to be released.
According to Robert Palmer, at WestJet the agreement has been signed however the seat sale will only begin in 2011. WestJet Airlines Ltd. is a Canadian low-cost carrier that provides scheduled and charter air service to 71 destinations in Canada, the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean. Its focus cities are Toronto, Edmonton, Montreal, Vancouver, Winnipeg and Los Angeles.
