Boeing-Air France: Score A Double Century In Boeing 777-300ER Delivery

The Paris based airline, Air France has received its 200th direct delivery of Boeing 777-300ER recently. The airline celebrated its ‘second century’ with Boeing inc. on Wednesday last week when the new 777-300 ER jetliner extended range was delivered. Marking the occasion, Bruno Matheu, chief commercial officer of Air France stated:

"The 777 is the backbone of our long-haul fleet. This new aircraft will support Air France’s projected growth on long-haul destinations and confirm the Air France-KLM Group’s European leadership position on the international network. With this latest delivery, Air France continues to upgrade its fleet, one of the youngest in Europe, and launches its new business class seat,"

Air France Boeing 777-300ER Low Cost Flights Amsterdam

At present, Air France KLM is the biggest European joint venture only going-to-be preceded by British Airways and Iberia merger that is in its initial phases at present. The airline operates an extensive network of flights to and from Europe to worldwide destinations. Although Air France and KLM fly to nearly all inhabited continents but the most popular routes include flights to Johannesburg, Cape Town, Accra, Nairobi, Amsterdam, Paris, London, Munich, Rome, Zurich, etc.

Air France- KLM airline are member of sky team and hold a strong relationship with Boeing Inc. It is one of the very few International airlines with an age old history and massive fleet that is expending in leaps and bounds. Marlin Dailey, vice president of Sales & Marketing for Boeing Commercial Airplanes said at the celebration of its 200th delivery to Air France:

"The delivery of this 777-300ER, our 200th airplane delivered to Air France, is a tribute to the 777 and the long-term relationship between Air France and Boeing,”

He further added: "The 777 offers an unbeatable combination of economics and passenger comfort that will continue to give Air France a competitive advantage in the marketplace."

The new Boeing 777-300ER has a total capacity of 383 seats, out of which 42 are dedicated to business class and are luxuriously designed lie-flat seat beds measuring over 78.74 inches (2 m) in length. The air craft is also deployed with an in-seat entertainment system with 15-inch (38 cm) wide screens in 16:9 formats. Also, the airline will be introducing its new Business Class product on this craft.

Air France will be launching flights between Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam and Paris in 2011, which the newly arrived long-haul jet Boeing 777-300ER will be taking on.
