American Airlines got green signal to Join BA – Iberia alliance

American Airlines announced this Tuesday, that it has received approval from the US Department of Transportations to form an alliance with British Airways and Iberia. The venture was given the OK by the European Commission last week. The airlines will join forces operating transatlantic flights. Air France and Delta have a similar partnership in the SkyTeam alliance, while United Airlines and Lufthansa work together in the Star Alliance.
