The South Korean tourism promotion campaigns have finally paid off, as 2010 profits declared by the national airline, Korean Airline (KE) show better scores in International travel in comparison to 2009.
This significant rebound in International travel has raised Korean Airline’s net profits to 264.8m GBP in 2010 compared to loss of 175m GBP in 2009. The airline’s annual growth in passengers has soared to 14.3 million, showing a 6.5% increase. The final quarter of the year 2010 reflects 13% growth in passenger numbers, concluding 2010 as a good year for the airline’s recovery and growth.
The success of Korean Airline is largely initiated by increase in travel from China, South East Asia and Japan.
